Pastor Moghazy brings a lifelong love for Christ and the Church. Alongside her husband Mo, she thrives in the great outdoors, whether hiking wooded trails, camping, tagging along for any sport especially cheering on the Huskers Go Big Red, or walking and talking with anyone who needs a listening ear. Their life together is full of laughter, adventure, and service. In addition to their shared passion for nurturing others as certified wellness, weight management, and yoga coaches, they’re also known for making a mean homemade doughnut, serving others with joy, care, and just the right amount of sugar.
With a heart for connection and service, Pastor Lisa has followed a diverse and Spirit-led path in ministry. She currently serves as a chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve, offering spiritual care, support, and presence to service members and their families. Her broader ministry journey includes years of leadership in Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, where faith formation met campfire songs and sacred spaces under the stars. She has served faithfully in campus ministry, youth ministry, and as a pastor in congregational settings, including roles as hospital chaplain, interim, and bridge pastor, guiding communities with wisdom, compassion, and steady hope through seasons of transition.
Her ministry is grounded in authentic relationships, meaningful worship, and a deep belief in God’s inclusive love.
Whether she's leading a Bible study, exploring new music or theater, mentoring young people, or walking alongside someone in a difficult or celebratory season, Pastor Lisa shows up with warmth, humor, grace, and a good pair of hiking boots, just in case.
She is excited about walking this journey of faith with her new congregation: listening, learning, serving, and dreaming together. More on this phase will be shared in the coming weeks/months.
